Which type of Wainscoting is best for your home?

There are many types of wainscoting that we have discussed in a previous blog. Picking the best type of wainscoting is often difficult because you are not sure what the end result will be. Whether you choose a professional painting company such as Village Professional Painters to help with ideas or you decide to do it your self - below are a few of the top wainscoting types.

Beadboard is the type of wainscoting that is basically also called "tongue and grove paneling". Many times you see this in bathrooms, kitchens and breakfast nooks. There are different spacing and grooves in beadboard paneling but this type gives your home a chic country look and give a casual appearance.

Board and Batten wainscoting is a type of flat paneling that has no beveled edges and has flat panels. With precise and sharp corners this usually is finished off with a chair railing at the top. This requires a bit more work - and often you need to ask the home improvement store for a bit more direction.  Many do this board and batten in their dining room for an elegant look.

Raised Panel Wainscoting is the most elegant and formal type of wainscoting. These panels sit off the wall and are more raised.

Village Professional Painters can certainly help you with any home painting or painting changes you want done in your home. Whether it is kitchen cabinet renovations or removing the "popcorn" from your ceiling, Village Professional Painters can do it.
